As You Like It

এই বই সম্পর্কে

Forced to leave court, Rosalind travels to the Forest of Arden with her cousin Celia and the jester Touchstone. Orlando, whom Rosalind loves, has also escaped there after conflict with his brother. Disguised as the young man Ganymede, Rosalind encounters Orlando and turns his courtship into a playful experiment. Among exiled courtiers and new companions, Shakespeare sets romantic hopes against sharp humour and sceptical observations. Beneath the verbal games lie questions about inheritance, dependence and the freedom to choose a partner. As You Like It brings these tensions into a woodland setting where changing appearances create fresh possibilities for relationships.
